Damastah

Look imma have a bunch of haters' words on this page. Wait let me change that! Anybody who hates on Soulja Boy because of his skills, whoa! I can't even say that. I mean, because of his... what can you call it? Rhymes? We'll go with that. Anybody who hates on Soulja Boy because of his rhymes or musical patterns. (cant call them beats) does not belong on this page. We don't have enough respect for that guy to hate on him. We just wouldn't /couldn't care less. I hope he's not trying to claim any type of titles. No "Master lyricist", no "Beatmaster". Yeah, he made up a popular dance, but that means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Soulja Boy sold on that dance. Everybody does. And the idiots who first liked the song and took it , need to get shot along with it's creator. And in the words of a good friend, "I wouldn't loose sleep if that n**** got shanked."
I dare anyone, or better yet, I welcome you. To defend that piece.* Gimme one reason this guy is respectable. Tell me you like his flows, tell me that he says something worth listening to. Tell me you like "Booty Meat" tell me that you love how he describes his encounters with women (His first stanza in "Booty Meat) Tell me you love the beat! and how smart he sounds. How much time and energy! How he creates his own language (fo?) Tell me!! I wanna hear that! I bet you he's rollin in your money though. He's the wackest rapper to hit the streets since, uhh... Well anyway, he needs to go.

Here's how Soulja Boy makes up his rhymes. This is a little dramatization.
Soulja Boy is walking down the street, and he sees a girl.
"B**** you u'ly". (ugly)
Then he repeats it 4 times. And then 4 more times, and he calls his boy.
"AyoArabIgotdiznewsong. Iz tight. Here it go. 'B**** you u'ly (4x).' How you like it?"
Then they come up with some SUPA WACK! beat and puts it up. And all this in about 5 minutes. In Booty meat, he repeated "Girl, shake dat Booty Meat" like 20 somethin times!!! Did he run out of something else to say? Did he run out of material? Not Soulja Boy, never that. Tell me this, What is "yah?" This guy makes up his own words. What is "yule?" I ask around and nobody knows. Wait. Imma go back to "Booty Meat". I asked this girl and she said "Yes!" WTF! Why? What about it is appealing? How about these lines?

"Shake dat booty meat.
Awl up own me.
Lemme fugyou in da a**
Until you bleed."

Did she like that?
I hope not!

Soulja Boy is full of Holes!
I just made dat nigga roll!
Watch me crank DIS
Soulja Boy can't Superman no mo!
Now watch me
Yule!!
Crank dat Robin Hood...

* piece of what? you may ask. That's the question.

Damastah

Damn, I'm back. Why, when they made those knock-offs of Crank Dat, did they have the same type of beat? Weak, with no complexity. I mean, only those who THINK can understand. Maybe the little kids who don't know much about REAL Hip Hop and the meaning of poetry set to beats can feel what Soulja Boy is puttin out. I was talkin to my girl the other day and she said she likes a few of his songs but "Throw Some Deez" was stupid. Like, at least throw some Bs or somethin'. Never in my life have I heard someone brag about getting straight Fs from ONE TEACHER over the whole report card! I know it was some sort of Rich Boy parody I guess you can call it, but still! Everybody & they mama gets an idea of how smart this guy is. He says that he was kiddin, and that he got all A's. But notice how hard he was smiling, teeth as bright as F after he said it.
My teacher said that it's like a connesuir. The people who know what rap and hip hop tastes like, feels like, and looks like, will not find his material appealing. Imma stop and let somebody else talk.

Dman

...what can i say...

I'm simply overwhelmed that this individual (can't call him a rapper... he put hip-hop to the grave again...) has came this far...
I still hear the thudding bass of low riders over the annoying voice sayin "GET OUT MY FACE HO!!!"

Soulja Boy...
Soulja Boi...
Soulja boi...

I'm scared that soon, someone's gonna give him his own language...

Anyways, It's a sad day when Crank Dat (not THAT, but DAT) is in the top 20 All Time Viewed Videos on YouTube... (the only reason i found it was because i was lookin for another video..)
Let's not forget that this video is competiting with documentaries about global warfare and America's future... lol just shows you how excellently we prioritize things...

As a "MUSICal advocate, I support those who come from the ground up, but i do believe in bare minimums... I'm just having a hard time calling Soulja's boy's alleged music, music...
I feel like our standards are dropping everyday...
Unoriginal, Banal, Redundant, Degrading, and millions of other negative adjectives are a generous longshot for this guy...
I just hope someday soon, the 37 million+ viewers of the Crank Dat music video on YouTube get slapped by something catastrophic enough to induce a hint of sanity into their minds...
Until then, i'll pray for them (or diss them as im doing now... lol)

I CAN say only one good thing about Soujla Boy's success...
...which is that he is motivation that we can all do ANYTHING!!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!
A CNN Interview says that Barack Obama (no disrespect to him) decided to run for presidency after seeing the Crank Dat Music Video...

If i heard something like this, I would not be suprised... lol

anyways... CASE AND POINT: All Soulja Boy fans need therapy... lol or at least an ass whooping... or both

...whichever one my instincts tells me do to...

Comments (To reply to...)

WOW, may I ask why everyone keep hating on Soulja Boy. I mean can yall just let him do him. Do anyone complain about the things yall do. Its crazy. So what yall don't think he's a rap artist, well some people do. Im not arguing about this or anything but dang. I don't like Lil Wayne's music, but I don't blog about how wack I think he is, and that's cause its my opinion. I really don't think Soulja Boy really care about the people that dislike him or his music, cause for every 1 person that dislike him, there are 2 people that love him. No I'm not the biggest Soulja Boy fan, but please stop hating on him.

Here. Let me reply to this. We're not hating on him. I agree, some people don't like
certain artists' styles but that doesn't mean that the artist is wack. But the difference is, those artists have some skill. They must to have made it as far as they did, but some people just don't like their style. Lets look at it realistically, each one of those rappers have some substance to their music.. Whether they have good beats, or they have good rhymes. What does Soulja Boy have? A catchy tune. Catchy doesn't make a good song. I think that he appeals mostly to the people who don't like to think, those who want a simple beat, and a simple verse. I can contrast him with Tupac. They are opposites! I am simply stating the facts. Think about it. When you play his music, people think, DANCE, they think Crank Dat. That's all they'll have to remember him by.

This is like Sanjaya. (American Idol 6th season) Some people thought he could sing, (obviously, they put him through) but the truth is, he couldn't SING! You can argue that everybody has haters, but then you'd say that the judges were hatin', the people on the radios and on the Internet, YAHOO!, MSN, the news reporters, and everyone else who KNEW the guy couldn't sing. But were they? Are we the ones hating on the essence of hip-hop-killing? I think that someone can have a basis to defend the guy, but no-one has. They just say "Stop hatin" I THINK I mentioned that we weren't hating. We were only stating the truth. The truth shall be sung from the tops of the roofs!!! SOULJABOYISWACK...
